Fuck that noizz. Either the price he offered it at or piss off; this isn't 3-card Monty on the street corner FFS. :palm: When you get there, it's gonna be $150.  ::) And then you still have to pay to ship it home.

A trigger control is bust. Offer 20 and tell him to bite your ass if it’s not good for him.

A-Trigger - right side, just above the EXT Trig BNC. Looks like the outer SLOPE knob is broken.

He needs to stop wasting your time with BS. But we won't hold it against you if you give in to the shiny; I know the feeling. ;)

Still think the $200 I budgeted myself for bench upgrades would be better spent on this. :-//

It’s not that hard to find. I actually had a few spare (now departed to another notorious tek fixer on another forum).

Hmmm ... that price + the shipping alone to my place is more expensive than the scope's cost.

Complete bastards at that price. Ask around on vintage-radio.net or the tek scopes groups.

Considering I paid 166$ for a Rigol DG831 (now upgraded to dg992) less than a year ago, I would wait for a better deal.

Yeah, not since they showed up on Dave's bench; typical now is $350-400. Now on CLEARANCE for $300 +S/H at TEquip. From the video this one appears to have much more linear output re: voltage vs frequency. Rigol still has yet to address this with FW even in the more expensive models, to my knowledge. Plus this one is rated 300MS/s vs 125MS/s for the Rigol.

You are spot on bd139, good call. With the seller playing about with the price, presumably because he was asked to open it up and take some photos, I'd have alarm ringing loud in my head right now and would driving the price downwards, below his first asking price, he is real bastard and I for one don't trust him.  :box:

Look like output impedance is fix at 50 \$\Omega\$. On the Rigol you can set that manually and it will automatically adjust amplitude based on selected output impedance. I often use that feature.

It is immensely cool.
So far the only Kickstarter that made sense for me.

Mom on the phone: "When I turn the oven on the electricity go out after 5 min, can you fixed it?"
Me: "How many times it happened?"
Mom: "Do not know... once maybe"

I went there at my parents home. Fluke 87V and Fluke 1507 were my weapons.
Turned the oven on, disconnected the plug. No leaking on PE, even by putting 1000V on both main wires N or L.
mmmmm...

I disconnected the PE and let the oven work. No issue... mmmmmm...
Then I went in bed... what it could be?

Next day.... mmmm let me check the differential main switch.

sorted.

Mmmhmmm... that's not a feature available on every Sig gen tho. I wonder if that tradeoff was necessary to get the improved output level linearity? :-//

@tautech - what do you have that's comparable, and what gotchas do you know about on this unit?

EDIT: Manual is here: http://68.168.132.244/PSG9080_EN_manual.pdf
