Title: Testing Tek 7854

I was recently given Tektronix 7854 mainframe and two 7A26 plugins.  I don't have any timebase.

Before I invest in any more money, are there any way to run tests on these?  Manual mentions self-diagnostic but requires timebase.  Can mainframe itself be tested by itself??

Should pass self test on power up without needing a horizontal plugin. You could plug one 7A26 into a horizontal slot and use it in XY mode.
