| Thandar LA160B ROM download-Where from? |
| (1/1) |
| djsb:
I've just bought a Thurlby LA160B Logic Analyser, and I'd like to download the EPROM firmware (including the LR-64 option ROM) so that I can have a backup. Does anyone know where I can download the firmware from? Thanks. David. PS I will need to make a backup of the EXISTING ROMS in the instrument when I receive it. So I also need to make/buy a simple EPROM reader/programmer. Does anyone have any suggestions for one that supports the EPROM used in the LA160B? This is all a bit of a whim based on finding around 6 off LA160 PODS that don't have an actual LA160 to connect to. So I've bought myself one in the hope that it will be useful/educational. |

Hi David, still interested in the EPROM contents? I can provide you with the i.e. BIN-files (version 5.0: LA160-50 and LR64-50) if you want them. Well, actually they are out of my IE1620, but they are exactly the same. Talking about unused (data) pods: I will have soon two of these analyzers but just a single pod with the variable threshold level (IE1620-1, which is, if I'm not mistaken, the same as the LC-02). Maybe I can buy the one I don't have from you? Currently I'm still in progress with a complete reverse engineering of that analyzer and that means redrawing the PCBs and schematics. If you're interested in receiving those files just let me know. Greetings Raimund |

Raimund, Yes, I'm interested in ANY firmware you have for these, thanks. I recently bought an Interplex IE-1620 from the states. Problem is, it only works at 110v, so I have to use it with an external autotransformer or figure out a way to drop 240v to 110v internally. I don't have any LC-02 pods. The only ones I have are LC-01's. I would be interested in details of your reverse engineering, including any schematics and PCB layouts. Especially if they are done using KiCad. Thanks |

Hi Raimund, I have a Thurlby LA-160B. I would be extremely interested in a copy of the LR-64 50 if you could possibly send me a copy? There is a site https://sonicsheep.com/Electronics/2-Thurlby%20LA160.html that has details of the pods, so you can make your own. Regards Alan. |
