Not sure that this can still be called an "oscilloscope." Maybe an oscilloscope case :-DD. Just like the smashed Keithley 2015.

LOL! :-DD For parts? What parts? There's a tube and a chassis. Wow.

You missed the four screws holding the tube...

I threw away a 2430 that was in the same shape, except I kept the circuit boards.

Come on,
They would never mistreat equipment, they just use it to death :)

I always wonder how that equiptment ends up in that condition...
-
Actually, rf_parts is a good Israeli seller, he doesn't sell broken crap at crazy prices usually, the same cannot be said for other Israeli sellers though...
-
If it was relisted as a "boat anchor" maybe it could be listed in "working condition"

Can you buy a spare vfd and case from keithley?

Can you buy a spare vfd and case from keithley?
No, i don't think so however, i do believe keithley use the same vfd on multiple units, so finding a spare shouldn't be hard. As for the case, ehh, only cosmetic.

Still, 250 bucks for that smashed up thing? You can buy a new one for close to that!

I'm not sure what the new price is, but I do know that my second hand ones are listed on ebay at £315. If they'd have asked $100 for it then I'd probably have bought it, there are enough useful spares in there to be helpful.

:)
Not quite as bad as the "totally harmonically distorted" DMM someone linked to on here a while ago.

I listed the "totally harmonically distorted" meter. I prowl eBay's for parts/not working.

One seriously abused meter.

Do they ever sell any of these ?

It is bloody expensive.
-
If it was $3.99 and shipping was $10 I would buy it.

If you look at their completed listings the do seem to sell most of their items. Admittedly $130 for that Fluke or $399 for the HP PSU is fantasy territory but a lot of the items are merely well work.
Some, however not even robrenz could restore.

It looks more like they use their equipment for target practice...

Oh shit, I know that bastard, fortunately uses the same ugly page layout all the time, so I certainly won't buy anything from him ever again.
A few years ago, I bought a used 85662A display section for a 8566B spectrum analyzer that was described slightly used and 'unable to test' and looked really nice from the outside. The inside looked as if it had a swim in the dead sea, salt corrosion everywhere, total loss. But not a single word or photo in the description about that.
