I've got a BK PRECISION 4053 which is rebadged Siglent SDG1000
If you are sure of it, try flashing the Siglent FW and report.

Least I strongly
believe Hardware is Siglent SDG1010
Did you tried opening it? Good chance the PCB can be identified for sure as the Siglent if compared to one, doubt they would change something inside on this rebadged models.
I just did open it and it's definitely Siglent. I've actually flashed it with the newest firmware.... for SDG1000 SDG1000 Firmware-1.01.01.39R7 (Release Date 01.29.19 )
It went through without any problems... tho I'm still limited to 10MHz... any way to get a higher frequency?
Thanks to TV84 I've got it flashed to 50MHz.
Now it boots and works just like a proper Siglent 1052 signal generator should
Thank you very much.
Pictures are coming, didn't have time yesterday to take any but I will edit this post.
hi everyone
i have AATECH AWG-1010 which is another rebranded siglent sgd1010 i think. so I tried to upgrade with newer siglent firmware but it doesn't accept the ADS files from siglent. is anyone know the
update&upgrade procedure of this another clone devices ?

Certainly looks like the older SDG1000 series and other AATECK AWG models are certainly Siglent rebrands.
I advise you dig deep into the firmware revision PDF in every FW download package as there might be a need for a sequential upgrade path before you can install the latest/last version now these models are discontinued.

looks like one of AATECH AWG-1010 is dead after siglent fw upgrade... the device boots normally with siglent logo, the menu screens, and all controls are also fine but there is no signal output at ch1/ch2. i get only some dc offset in sinus mode when i enable channels and weird square wave with square mode. also when i try to self-calibrate device it is stuck in this menu for 4-5 minutes. i tried to downgrade to several versions of R36 and R37 but nothing changed.
Here you have the oldest FW I have.
unfortunately, that also didn't work with SDG1000-V100R001B01D01P27 firmware. the update cannot start.
@tv84 do you have any recommendation?

Which FW version did you flash? Show the full name.
first i flashed SDG1000-V100R001B01D01P39R2 i think. later i tried several different 36-37 versions. the last i flashed SDG1000-V100R001B01D01P36. the result is very similar.
there no output on sinus (only dc offset) some weird output when square wave selected.

You have a working unit ? Just not working correctly ?
@tautech yes exactly, i tested all functions before firmware flashing. it was ok.
@tv84 i flashed "SDG1000-V100R001B01D01P31.ADS" the result is same :
- in sinus mode, no output ony 5V dc offset
- in square mode, i have some weird signal. the frequency is ok but amplitude is constant and when i adjust under 1 volt, the wave goes negative. i also don't have any other arb waveforms on both channels.
I could try to make a change in the v27 for you to try flash but I think is a long shot... don't have any assurance it would flash, let alone work correctly...
Maybe only tautech could do some magic although I think Siglent won't support any of this...

Already looked, we/I don't have recovery packages for these older SDG1000 models.
Never heard of a update wrecking a product but as these are a age now and maybe don't have the upgrade protection of later models I guess it is possible.
That's why I earlier stated:

My opinion goes in this direction:
I think besides the BF programming, there might be a CPLD on the device that requires also to be programmed and maybe these Siglent packages don't contain that part. So, now, there is an inconsistency between BF contents and other CPLDs content...
This is based on old (scope) analysis and I'm not sure it applies here but... only Siglent knows.
The best solution would be to flash the device's original brand FW (although it could be one of those very old Siglent versions). If anyone has one that he could dump... although not an easy task.

Yes, quite. I do have OEM FW right back to 2015, maybe earlier only had a quick look.
czorgormez, do you know the version installed before you had all this bad luck ?
@tautech
unfortunately, i can't remember the exact firmware before flashing. but hw version is: 02-00-00-22-24
i also have another unit but I think it is a newer version, the front panel is slightly different. and this unit doesn't accept any siglent FW (fortunately) the other device hardware is : 04-00-00-23-28
i couldn't flash the V27 firmware to the device. it starts first but after a few second it stops with update failed message.
Hello.

Hello.
Quick DIY mod to improve accuracy with a Chinese TCXO module.
The +7.5VDC power has been taken directly from the power connector on the PCB.

Do you have checked the temperatures of the components after the hack ? The SDG1052 has a fan inside , the SDG1010 doesn`t . I am sure they do not build in a fun just for having fun in doing that ...
