Trigger Data hold on Philips Meters sans DataHold Probe?
(1/1)
watchmaker:
Is there a way to trigger DataHold on meters like the PM 2525 using the Din connector pins and a standard probe?
I have looked at various pinouts for this connector but they all address 4 wire resistance and temp probes.
TIA.

abeyer:
At least some of the models using that connector have service manuals with schematics available with the full connection details.
IIRC, pins 5-6 are an I2C bus and the data hold probe is active, sending messages on that bus which drive a bunch of relays controlling internal signal routing.
watchmaker:
Thank you. I will look at the SMs of some of the other meters that use that probe. I do have two other meters that hold (Flukes) and I would like to add this to the Philips.
