It very well may be. Triplett seem to make all sorts of stuff, including $5 flashlights, which obviously come from the same source as free with $25 purchase from Harbor Freight.

I doubt it is made at all. Triplett is one of those "take any junk you can get your hands on and put your logo on it" companies. Probably did not work out that way with this meter.

Klein MM5000 and MM6000 made in USA (lot of parts probably from Fine Instruments).  Very similar to the UEI in Dave's $100 shootout.
