Title: U1173B ir to usb cable...
Post by: GregerG on February 02, 2019, 09:32:16 am
Hey,
is there a way to clone the U1173B IR to USB cable? Or otherwise directly hook up an rs232 cable to the U1273AX multimeter?

Cheers
Greg

They are cheap. Why not just get the real thing?

Maybe some ftdi ir interface could work, hoping the output data is not "formatted" in a way

Good luck

The U1173B IR to USB cable might be close to the U1173A. I think I still have a pcb left over.

That looks interesting... remember I saw a few FT232 in my drawer... will definitely look into this tomorrow.
I think the A only did 9600bps (don't quote me on that though) and might be physically different so it won't fit some instruments.

Thank you so much!
