Hey,
is there a way to clone the U1173B IR to USB cable? Or otherwise directly hook up an rs232 cable to the U1273AX multimeter?

I make my own pcbs so why not...

Maybe some ftdi ir interface could work, hoping the output data is not "formatted" in a way

The U1173B IR to USB cable might be close to the U1173A. I think I still have a pcb left over.

That looks interesting... remember I saw a few FT232 in my drawer... will definitely look into this tomorrow.
I think the A only did 9600bps (don't quote me on that though) and might be physically different so it won't fit some instruments.
