Title: UNI-T UT139E Problem
Post by: Travie21 on January 31, 2019, 03:11:45 am
Good Day guys,

I would like to ask whats the problem of my meter. I accidentaly plugged it on AC while it is on Resistance mode. Now, the resistance on the display flickers from 0000 ohm to OL. I can still read resistance from 1-1k ohm, but can't read higher like mega ohms. I doubt if it's still accurate. Contuinity and diode test still works fine but the capacitance test is not working. Its stocked on microfarad, unlike before its on nano farad. AC and DC voltage also still works well but DCmV is indicating high voltage while displaying OL. NCV also does not work now. I checked the fuses but both still works well. I check the contuinity on the Voltohm jack to 10A, its still beeps but on mA jack does not have continuity. Just like the manual says. I'm an electrical major and I'm just new to electronics. I dont have any idea to diagnose my problem. Hope you can help me guys.

Thanks!

You killed it. Time to learn from what you did wrong and move on.

(...and not create duplicate threads hoping somebody will say something different).

If you're interested in finding out the exact cause of death you could watch the series of videos that were created in this thread, watch what joe does after he kills a meter.

nb. There's a lot of talk there, you might want to go directly to joe's Youtube channel.
