LeCroy 9450A Distorted Screen
« on: October 09, 2017, 04:39:20 am »
Hi All,

Long time reader, first time poster. I have a 9540A that I haven't used in some time (2 years). I remember when I last used it I had an intermittent problem where the display was totally distorted. Today after powering it on for the first time in a while, it's 100% distorted at first. After a little warm up, the grid appears fine but the menu and signal display are still bad. If I wait without trying to measure anything, it will start looking okay, until I try to change something.

I've seen a few posts here and elsewhere about a bad display connection, but I've checked every wire on the display card. Before digging deeper, starting to look for a new display board, or God-willing, trying to debug a CRT, I'm wondering if anyone has seen this same issue?

Pics, in order,
Startup; After a few seconds; Grid Intensity zero; Intensity zero; After some time at steady state.

Thanks!
