Title: Universal Multimeter Software
Post by: exit_failure on July 08, 2018, 01:19:46 pm
I have searched around a bit but was unable to find software to display and record the readings of a variety of multimeters. There are the vendor specific ones but none that would support the simultaneous use of multiple meters that are different brands.
Maybe I'm just too stupid to search properly. If that's the case, could you please point me in the right direction.
If not, working on such a thing would be something I'd very interested in doing. I'm looking for a new software project to sink my teeth in anyway.

Sigrok?

But maybe you can improve on that.

Hadn't heard of it before. At first glance is seemed to be, what I'm looking for but after browsing their homepage and a few pieces of code for about half an hour, my impression is that the documentation (end-user and developer), availability of binaries and the website itself seems to be a bit of a mess and also not very well maintained.
