Upgrading Mainboard in Lecroy DDA-3000 (aka WavePro 7300a?)

Hello, I followed the thread of reinstallation with original touch panel, and interestingly the driver does work with hidden COM3 port (not displayed by Windows). But the problem is that the touch point coordinates are inverted: whatever should be an upper left corner of the touch panel is generating the coordinate in the lower right corner; the movement of touch point down is displayed as moving up. I found that there is a swap of X/Y setting and it needs to be checked after installation. But I did not yet find how to invert coordinates. I guess that the radical solution is to swap panel wires, but it is unchanged hardware and I am assuming that it used to work correctly before.
Does anyone know if / where is the setting to mirror X and Y directions?

Hello,

after upgrading my LeCroy WaveMaster 6300A in 2019, which is strill running great, I got a very "used" Waverunner 64Xi from ebay.
The Touchpanel was cracked, some damage on the case, some of the encoders on the front panel were broken.
And Windows XP was not booting. Seems that it was thrown into a dumpster because of this, and all other damage
was from the trowing it away. And all the round knobs were missing.

The encoders were the easiest part, they are ALPS STEC12E07 and STEC12E08. Very cheap, and easy to solder.

For the non-booting HDD, I used a copy of a disk from a WaveRunner 24Xs, which works fine, with one exeption.

Then I got a touch panel from china, perfect fit, and it should work. And here my problem starts: I can not get the touch panel
to work. I swapped the LCD+Touch Screen with a WaveRunner, and there the china touch works fine, and the original touch also
does not work in the Waverunner.
So the problem has to be either a driver/configuration issue, or the touch controller chip on the front panel pcb is bad.

Any hints on this issue? I thing the front panel is connected via USB to the main board. The Wavesurfer front panel
is different, and does not work in the waverunner. Which device in Windows Device Manager is for the touch panel?

And I am looking for a rear case, and the roung knobs (original ones).

can you pop out  the windows device manager and see if there are errors with exclamation marks,
if so  you can get the Vid / Pid's  of them and search for drivers

pquadrat:
Device manager is "clean". I did a reinstall of Xstream 8.1.2.0 today, nothing changed.
The two HID devices are both VID_05FF and PID_000A

Can someone with a Waverunner Xi check if the VID and PID are the same?

I have an SDA6000A which I am trying to install XP on instead of Win2K.
I have the original Intel D865GLC motherboard, and I am trying to install the INF files that dxl made originally for windows 7, but people say solve the issue of the fan controller not working correctly under XP --- which I experience if I install the DSO drivers with the original inf files.

Unfortunately, the installation of the dxl modified inf drivers fails after successfully installing the first driver (XStream DSO Devices), with subsequent drivers for any of the following "new hardware found" steps giving the error:
"Windows could not load the installer for DataAcquisition. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance".
This is even though I direct device manager manually to the correct folder.

Did anyone encounter this problem before?

I have tried everything I can think of to no avail. E.g., this happens regardless if I have XStream software and motherboard drivers installed, or if it is a fresh Windows XP Pro SP3 installation.
