I have used it with version 8.1.2.0, which is the latest. However, I see no reason it should not work with version 6.8.1.4, or anything in between. There was never an indication in any of the messages in this long thread that there is a connection between the drivers and the XStream software versions (at least in these ranges).
Also, if one wants, one can replace all the actual driver binaries in my archive with the ones from version 6.x of the DSO drivers, and keep only the INF files and the registry file. Versions 6.x and 8.x of the drivers have exactly the same original INF files, and they both work with the modified INF files from dxl that are in the archive. The registry file is version agnostic as well.

Note: with this method, which uses dxl’s INF files, the touchscreen COM port will appear in device manager simply as “Communications Port”, and not as “Communications Port (LeCroy)” as when using the LeCroy INF files. This is fine, and one can see that the correct hardware is installed by noticing that its resources are within the range of resources of the parent multifunction device “XStream DSO Devices".

Hmm, just check the given zip file and see the following within the LecAladdinSerialport.inf file:
LeCroySerialPortDesc= "Communications Port (LeCroy)"
This means, first statement is wrong or did you provide the real file(s)?
coromonadalix:
AladdinDrivers2.inf is the main file, Class = Multifunction it does help for hardwares id's mapping etc ...
LecSuperIO.Inf LecS65AcqDrv.inf LecI2C.Inf for the acquisition section / LeCroy SuperIO Device / Data Acqusitions / LeCroy I2C Controller Device
others for the other parts
it should work ? the reg file help to place the AcqDevClassInstaller.dll file
Benj38 instructions should work fine, it's well written, unless some weirdness ??
and yes they are somewhat strange, they don't work like usuals vid pid drivers, they work differently ...
