USB Firmware installation quirk RTB2000
« on: May 18, 2023, 12:46:43 pm »
Answering questions that haven't been asked yet has somehow become a specialty for me  :-//. We have some RTB2002 & RTB2004 scopes where I work. When attempting to do a long overdue firmware update, I found the USB drive was not being recognized by the device. This thumb drive was successfully used to update test equipment from Keithley/Tektronix. I found this thumb drive had 2 partitions. One of the 2 was an unallocated partition. I first created a new volume for the unallocated partition. This allowed me to later delete the volume for that partition, leaving only one.

The drive can now be used to update firmware on a Rohde scope.
