Title: Using HP 3478a multimeter with EZGPIB (and AR488)
Post by: wkb on February 09, 2021, 06:59:33 pm
I am looking for people who succesfully use their HP 3478A multimeter with EZGPIB.

Can get it working to an extent, essentially by using a polling loop.

But for obscure reasons I cannot get more fancy programs (taken from the examples that come with EZGPIB) to work. E.g. programs that make use of SRQ.  I am using the AR488 Prologix clone to connect PC to the HP.
With a terminal program I can setup the HP such that SRQ works etc etc. The HP3478AControl program that I found and used to save the calram information works just fine so I have no reason to doubt my hardware.

So... anyone out here who has working EZGPIB programs they are using with their 3478A and are willing to share those programs here for the education of yours truly?

Much appreciated!
Wilko

You should probably correct the title.
