Modifying T12-952 soldering station for driving 2 tips
cosmin1:
Because the T12 tips are too long for using as tweezers, i will do it with USB iron tips, using a 4,2-5V variable power supply. It should do the job.

Hi,
Your idea makes sense.
If the source power is sufficient to power two heaters simultaneously, then it will work.
This is the design used in the TT65 PACE Tweezers.
tooki:
Pace can do that because their temperature sensor is not in series with the heater(s), so the temperature feedback will work properly. The OP wants to use tips that have a thermocouple in series with the heater: there’s no way for that to produce the correct temperature feedback.
cosmin1:
It is done exactly as i intended.
Will be back with more info after i will build the tweezers bracket and finalize the project.
cosmin1:
So... it's ok with T12 tips too. 8)
