ValueTronics
« on: March 08, 2022, 01:54:28 am »
Greetings,
I got a quote from ValueTronics in Elgin IL for a new Instek GDS1104B that is substantially lower than Saelig or TEquipment.

Any experience with them?

Thanks,
Jack

I had no problems with them. I bought a new DMM7510 from them a little more than a year ago.

Thanks for the note.

One thing that was not in the quote and I forgot to ask about were the probes. I have several quotes and some provide 4 100MHz probes, some 70MHz probes, one quoted 1 probe (for a 4 channel scope), and some did not specify. Once they clarify I will probably buy their scope.

I recently bought a used Tek AD007 GPIB to Ethernet interface from them. All went fine.

They sell both used and new, so make sure the quote is for new!

How much is substantial?  Both of the other vendors offer a discount to EEVBlog members, 6% I think.
A 3.5 digit 4.5 digit 5 digit 5.5 digit 6.5 digit 7.5 digit DMM is good enough for most people.

I don't know if they want me to blab the quote but it is definitely better than 6% off list price of $642.00, free shipping too. I verified that it comes with 4 100 MHz probes.
