Title: Velleman HPS10 scope not working

Hi,
Going to try and open it up tomorrow. The probe seems OK..it reads 9MEG. The LCD display works fine....but i cant scope anything. The LCD display just shows 50Hz noise on it. I reckon the internal 1MEG is blown because maybe someone connected it to mains?.....do you agree this is the most likely reason its not working? Or are there other common faults with this scope?
