Is it a Mastech product or what?

I've been asking similar questions myself too, what the heck is voltcraft? Are they any good or worth any penny?

Since you are already a long time poster surely you can do the research on your own. In general these products are rebranded ones from chinese OEMs ( original equipment manufactures) they save on R&D
and give confidence to there local consumers. A benchtop meter is more accurate ( 40000 counts) but detractors will say otherwise ( not intending to start a brand war) but compare the price to an equivalent Hp meter of course the intermals are different for the price. It depends on what you want to use it for.

I do not like the input jacks under the LCD. The LCD will be obscured with the cables.

If you look for a similar cheap bench multimeter, where the jacks are not below the display,
the Vichy VC8145 might be a valid option.

Very hard to find much on Voltcraft, Conrad’s house brand.

This polish article says Voltcraft products are designed by Conrad in house.

As far as i know, they are rebranded chinese products. I had very bad experience with a power supply years ago.

The original voltcraft 6010 dmm was korean.

The available evidence suggests the Voltcraft products are contract manufactured rather than simple rebadge. (Only LCR-400 looks identical to APPA and GWInstek LCR meters.) Given the Korean origins, more could be Korean than chinese???

The KS branding on Uni-T and Voltcraft boards suggests Uni-T could also be a marketing rather than manufacturing outfit.

Well, I have just bought one of these second hand on eBay  Hope I haven't made a mistake  , seller seems to be reputable.  Can't be worse than the shambles of dealing with extremely dodgy sellers on AliExpess.

Like others I found it very difficult to obtain hard data.  What looks like a very comprehensive review by Jos Verstraten is written in Dutch  ,  but looking at some of his other reviews he seems to actually use the instrument so it can't be that bad.

Hopefully, I will be able to post my experience with the meter.

Hello, I bought the multimeter (secondhand for far less than original price).

Inside is quite empty. There is one power supply board at the back and the usb to serial converter (silabs cp2110 hid to uart).

MCU is msp430f5418, LCD controller bu9799kv, DMM chip ES51966a. Another most notable component is canned AD636JHZ.

Is it built ok ? You tell me :-) you are DMM experts!
