I'm doing some experiments with warm-up times of some measurement instruments I have.

Thought it was nice to share with you some results.

First instrument is a TE9823 multifunction calibrator. This calibrator was a bit a surprise to me, I never expected this almost first class calibrator (10ppm maybe/wannabe) to take 3 hours to warm-up. This calibrator do not use ovenized references so it take a lot of time for the reference to get to temperature. Still to be proven that is the reference "drifting" and not the DAC or maybe a combination of the two.

Next instrument is a K2001, this takes just 30 minutes to be ready ... this meter is using an LM399 an ovenized reference that go to temperature in a couple of minutes. It should be something else in the reference buffering circuit causing this drift (or some thermal emf?).

In next days I will than test a K2000 too and a old and venerable Solartron 7150.

K2000 warm-up temperature was constant to all warm-up period.
Also source voltage was measured constant according to mi K2001.
This is the fastest meter to warm-up, it settle to -2ppm than it final value in just few minutes.
Simple is better!
