  • I like to roll with TENACITY! :-)
I recently bought a Hantek DSO (model # DSO5072P) on eBay.
The unit appears to have a defective operation.
With channel 1 connected to the 1 KHz calibration terminal on the front panel, this waveform remains FIXED.
The display for channel 2 (connected to a signal generator) the sine wave slowly drifts to the left.
The trigger is set to channel 1.
The non-triggered channel waveform always drifts slowly to the left or right.
Is this normal behavior or not?
If the scope must have only one trigger source, why does it display 2 channels simultaneously?

Yep quite normal for unrelated signals.
Sometimes you get lucky and get 2 signals that are frequency related and then both are stable even though the trigger is set to only on one of them.

Investigate the trigger suite modes as you may find tools (settings) that permit solid triggering on the other unrelated channel.
