Were Siglent and Atten the same company back in the days?
On the Siglent website they talk about the ADS7000 and ADS2000 oscilloscopes in their company history:
https://www.siglenteu.com/about/company-history/ (https://www.siglenteu.com/about/company-history/)
Atten Electronics was also selling the ADS7000 and the ADS2000 oscilloscopes:

The Atten ADS7000 oscilloscope is in fact a 100% copy of the Rigol DS5000 oscilloscope according to this website:

The link below provides more details about the plagiarism and the lawsuit in court:

The lawsuit refers to Antaixin Group which is the parent company of Siglent:

For anyone else wondering: this is an old DS5000, not the new one with custom silicon.
> it is so obvious that Puyuan will lose the case twice
My sides!

I used to own a DS5000, it was sold as Agilent DSO3000 and the PCB was actually marked DSO3000.
Rigol was not allowed to sell 1Gsps color screen units outside of China as that was Agilent's market. So the sold 500Msps color units and 1Gsps monochrome units outside China, not to overlap the Agilent offering.
Interesting twist of events with Atten/Siglent.
Also, so funny and ironic that one Chinese company sues another over plagiarism..pot and kettle situation :D

Apparently sawing off IC markings did not work well for someone :-DD
