What are the connector types for Agilent 1675xA blades?

Hi,

Just dug out my Agilent 16702B, and my three 16754A (hacked to 16756A thanks to another thread "up-hack" around here). However in order to interconnect them, I'm missing the 2x15 pins flat cable 16754-61602 (noted as W1) and the 2x50 Master/Expander Cable Kit 16754-60002 (noted as W2) (*). I'd like to rebuild them, but can't find the proper connectors references. First one look like HE10 but .05" pitch and with side locking springs (mating male connectors in first picture), and second ones check the second picture.

Any idea out there?

Best,
Christian

I believe the 2x15 connector is TE/AMP 1-111196-9:

The ribbon is 110mm long, and the connectors are mounted on opposite sides of the ribbon.

See this post on the flat-flex connectors:

It would probably be easiest to just purchase the flat-flex jumpers.  It would be involved to fabricate, and I wouldn't assume the pinout is 1:1 (although it probably is).  You might have better luck searching for 16754-61601, which is what's printed on the connector itself.   16754-60002 is a packaged set of two.

Thanks Mark!
Great help!

Checked on ebay. Prices are sometimes pretty decent, but shipping fees to France are definitely no brainers! Therefore I'll investigate further to buid some myself.

If you're going to build them yourself, note that the link I provided above is talking about the flat-flex connectors specifically for the cards using 2x40 = 80 contacts.  Hence the 080 in the part number.  You'll want the 100 contact version which does not show up in the datasheet as a contact option, but does show up as an obsolete part if you search for it.

For the flat-flex side plug (not the board side socket), the part number is probably P08-100-PLxx-A-G where xx is the vacuum pickup and packaging options, but you should double check me before ordering if you find a source.  You may have a hard time finding it.

You might want to try posting a query on logicanalyzers or  HP-Agilent-Keysight-equipment over on groups.io.  Someone might have some extra 2x50 flat-flex jumpers.

Good luck!

Thank you for those part numbers!  As of now, there are none of those 30 pin cables on eBay, and the board I just bought didn't come with one.  What do people do with those cables?  I mean, it's a conscious decision to remove them...what do they do with them?  Not really looking for an answer to that, more a grouse.
