Hi, I have checked the prices for Agilent Infiniium oscilloscopes on ebay and they are very expensive. Why does the infiniiums are so expensive even today ? Is it a matter of supply and demand ? What would be a good price to pay for an Agilent 54832B ? Any ideas on how good they are if you have or used one of them. Thank you. |

Hi, Can anyone give me some idea on this. Thanks. |

There are a couple different versions of the 54832B. What specs are you looking at? I picked up mine a year or so ago for just over a grand. It is the 1Ghz version with all of the serial decoding options installed. I also got a full set of probes with it. Performance wise I am happy with it, but keep in mind its a big boi. Like size of a small suitcase big boi, and its heavy. I'm happy with mine though, and if it has the features you are looking for in the price range you are looking to spend, I'd say go for it. |

Two cheapest on eBay right now are one broken for $500, one working for $900. The prices make sense to me somewhat. At the end of the day it's still a 4 channel 1GHz scope, and if you want something new(er) you'll be paying many times that amount. |

depends if you are prepared to use working oldies ... and battle to maintain them, say power supply broke .... since theses Infinium series are pc based scopes ... for used stuff it's always a gamble, you win or loose and ask for a very good protection if you buy it and get it shipped .... |
