Title: What is This Connector in Lecroy D500PT Probe Tip?
Post by: Mechatrommer on November 22, 2018, 05:16:27 am
i bought used Lecroy WL600 Active Differential Probe with 6GHz D500PT Head sold as is but claimed to be working. The head's tip is connected through this female connector (attached picture on right side) as you can see one of its 4 internal ring (female center pin) is broken i think i need to find replacement in case this probe's tip is non functional due to this, still waiting the matching oscilloscope to be delivered so in the mean time i have no way to test the connectivity. does anyone know what connector type or name for this? i've included the dimension in case someone knows all possibilities for this mini coax connector type (2mm outer (gnd) ring diameter with excess or protrusion 2.2mm diameter on the end). i googled IPX, U.FL, MMCX and CRC9 but they dont quite match the shape of this connector (with internal female ring spliited into 4) and larger diameter on the end of outer ring. i have male CRC9 i tried to push it in, it can go in but with a little bit force i'm afraid with many times of usage, it may damage the internal and the outer ring as well which is also splitted into 4. anyone?

Try SMPM, like 925-127P-51P from Amphenol.

yes i think SMPM is more acurately as just now i checked SMP dimension is 3+ mm diameter instead of my measured 2mm something. SMPM is the exact dimension. thanks.
