Hi there,
I was wondering if someone maintains a list (or knows) which Rigol/Siglent models are hackable.
I am considering buying my first scope and cannot decide which model to pick.
I love the form factor of Picos, but they are very expensive. Pico 5444D costs around $5000 here in Canada.
And for that kind of money, one can buy two Rigols/Siglents with similar or better specs.
I'd like to buy the lowest bandwidth in a hackable line and 'upgrade' later.
Which Rigol lines are hackable? MSO5000, DHO4000, DHO1000, 7000s, 2000s, 1000Zs?
Which Siglent lines are hackable? SDS5000Xs, SDS2000X HDs, SDS2000X Plus, SDS2000X-Es?

All these and some others.
Currently it's done with unofficial installation of official license codes therefore firmware updates are fully accepted without any need to reapply a hack.

Do you know if DHO1074, DHO4204 or SDS2104X HD are hackable?

If it is made by man, it is hackable.I suggest researching specific models you are interested in here and elsewhere.
