Retrieve config Via USB for Rigol devices
« on: August 23, 2022, 10:46:10 pm »
Hi,

I know that the configuration of a Rigol PSU or Sig gen can be saved to a USB disk or to the instruments internal memory. Is there a way of retrieving it via the USB slave port (i.e on a PC)?

Thanks,

Ross

Depends on the device. You'll have to read the associated SCPI programming guide to find out.

In some cases there are SCPI commands to read back the entire configuration, in other cases there might not be, and you'd have to read back each setting one at a time.

Thanks for your quick reply, I have a DP800 series PSU and have looked through the programming manual before and have not found a command for full configuration output. Can you point me to the SCPI command?

If you didn't see it, it doesn't exist on the DP800.
