XDM1041 meter: a damning flaw?
« on: October 28, 2022, 10:26:47 am »
Guys, I own two of these and have found they are utterly incapable of reading the AC ripple of a DC supply.

You read that right.  It can't read small AC in the presence of DC.  At all.  It just reads zero.

I'll post pics showing what I'm on about, but if any other owners wanted to check theirs it would be very helpful.  Thanks.

Hi cvanc,  :)

It is al in the specs of this meter, 500mV is the lowest range in AC and also with a limited frequency range.

So it is not the wright instrument to do this kind of measurements.

Kind regards,
Bram
