Old version of Benchvue that actually works?
« on: December 17, 2017, 09:32:52 am »
Rant ON:
Every once in a while I need to record data from one of the 34401A meters we have via GPIB. This typically happens every 6 months or so. It seems like every time I go to use whatever was working the last time it no longer works. Is it only me or is the Keysight Benchvue software so riddled with bugs that it breaks every time ANYTHING is updated in Windows?
Rant off

I just uninstalled everything Keysight related and attempted a fresh install with no luck, even the installer fails. I called Keysight, tech support guy was unable to help, told me a developer would call, but no response. Service is really going down IMO.

I have read that  "older" versions of benchvue still work, I'm not sure what older refers to (version #?), or where these can be downloaded from?

Options?

I still have an installer of about a year ago on my desktop at work I suspect, I can send it over tomorrow if you want.

What you are after is V3.7 (or earlier), it is still available from the Keysight website here: https://www.keysight.com/main/software.jspx?cc=BE&lc=dut&nid=-33002.1080833&id=2417463&pageMode=PV
