Yokogawa TY720 Multimeter - Video Review

At work we've been searching for a multimeter to replace the discontinued Fluke 189, so I've had access to a bunch of different models recently. Here's one I haven't seen any other review of, the Yokogawa TY720.

It's the voltage reference (AD780) - maybe socketed to allow different precision grades. Maybe they only fit it on higher end versions.

Great review!  Alas, for the money its does look like there are better options, including Agilent's logging meters as options.

At least the 1252a has fully configurable delays for data capture
The IR USB module is $35

The less accurate meters in the Agilent series have better battery life.

$450 for Mastech-quality soldering and $130 for pc link? Fuck everything about that, you can get Fluke 289 for that.
