Continuity range on Thulby Thandar 1604 Bench Meter - pretty poor (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53L0lgmHKWQ#)

Seriously, it sometimes locks up -- will continue beeping with probes open (or not beeping with probes shorted.) Plus the lag... I mean, why did they even bother?  :o

I seldom use Continuity,even as a "buzzer" for checking cable connections,because some meters are quite happy to beep "OK" with up to 50 Ohms in a high resistance joint.

In any case,the lag would make it useless.

More importantly,what are the Resistance ranges like?

The cheapies, like the Mastech 830, beep continuous for readings less than 1500 ohms (as per page 4).

I have a competitor, a Voltstick. Continuity is defined as anything under 300k, and the voltage accuracy is done using the battery as a reference voltage. It has it's uses though, as it can tell if there is voltage present or not, just not accurately. It will measure between live and earth without tripping a RCD like the Steinel Hobbytest will, so still is around.

It's not a flaw.. didn't you read the marketing material that came with it?
