Could ZKETECH EBC/EBD series be used as an electronic load to test small DC PSUs?
Also I have 2-quadrant Hewlett Packard PSU which is very versatile, but can handle only low loads.
Don't know if it is feasible. Now using Rigol DL load, but it is not always available.
I don’t see why not. I have a couple of ZKE EBC-A05 units but never tried then as a dummy load other than for discharging batteries.
The 2-quadrant HP supplies like the 6612B can sink up to 1A but it isn’t programmable. Other 66xx models have different limitations. Of course your test circuit will need to be able to handle an input voltage from the PSU, or you’ll need a blocking diode.
Thanks. Yes, my 66312A can sink only 1.2A max, so it is not good for the task ( I need to measure 12V and 19V power bricks 3 to 5A). But it is programmable.
I have YPSDZ-0550 and it could deal with small DC PSUs.Maybe you can try it.
