Hey all,
I am looking to get a thermal camera mostly for some work around home (insulation, fault finding etc..) but also for work use (data center / IT) and also some mechanical and electrical diagnosing.
Ideally, i think i'm looking for a compact USB-C unit to go on my phone, and that i can keep in my bag for work.
I originally was going to get either the FlirOne of the Fluke iSee, some googling and redditing later, i came across the topdon units, and then i came across the infiniray units.
Based on reading nearly the whole thread posted by @Fraser for the infiniray unit, and then the review (
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/thermal-imaging/review-infiray-p2-pro-thermal-camera-dongle-for-android-mobile-phones/?all) where it states that (from what i took) the current gen units are not as good as the old ones, i'm a bit lost on what i should actually look to get.
Ideally i want it good for medium range (say 5ish meters) down to close up PCB level. Quality is more of a concern as well as image clarity. Temp range i don't think i would need over 500ish C and frame rate from what i gather i'm better off with one of the 25hz jobbies.
So, im hoping that those more educated can provide me some guidance on what i should look at getting.
Many thanks all.
