Title: Dji X3 camera convert to thermal imagine camera
Post by: Grayo on August 19, 2017, 02:34:12 pm
Hi All, sorry if this is in the wrong place I'm new to the forum so finding my way around.

I have been talking to Fraser, about thermal imagine cameras. I run a drone SAR group for lost dogs and needed advice on a thermal camera to buy. Fraser, has been great and given great advice.

Another question I have is I own a dji inspire with both X3 and X5 cameras. I was wondering if anybody has converted an X3 camera into a thermal imagine camera. Fraser, gave me a link to a thermal camera so just wondering if this is possible and has anybody done it. Thanks Graham

I am not familiar with the DJI drone cameras but I did read that the cameras talk 'digital' to the host platform. Others have suggested using a separate analogue video transmitter for non original cameras mounted on these drones.

As I say, this is only what I have read, but it does make sense that the cameras operate in the Digital Data domain.
