Title: Enhance a old FLIR ThermaCAM E45
Post by: joe-c on September 02, 2018, 11:08:48 am
Hello,
time to talk about the old Thermacam E45 (and similar old Cameras from FLIR).

The camera has default a USB Network connection, but this was only used to simulate a Drive with the Images.
With a Network tool I found the default IP from the Camera...
192.168.66.66
And with Ping scan of this Area I found 2 accessible IPs:
192.168.66.66
192.168.66.65
The Second connection don’t refuse a telnet connection and give a command line access like RS232 connection.
Additional it have a FTP Access, but this don’t support the “LIST” command, therefore it don’t work with Filezilla.

In the last Thermovision is a "new" sub-window called "Camera Commander: FLIR".
with a active Network connection its possible to download the system files.
in the system/ are some *.reg files, they need to be open with notepad++ or other text editor.
i will attach my firmware stuff. i just removed a "system/matrix.elf" file with 4MB, i beleve the other files are more interesting.

Excellent work Joe-C

I love seeing how you smart software guys burrow into operating systems and firmware :)

This is the sort of experimentation I want to do on my old FLIR PM series cameras. I shall have to find the time to play with their file systems.

Hi All,

I'm wondering if by any chance somebody have firmware update package for this model, that would be awesome.

btw, from calib.reg:
calib.det.gen.Type text "UL02051"

UL02051 - is a a-Si microbolometer developed by ULIS,

p.s. sorry for bad attachment skills
