Yes, the FCC database can be an invaluable source of internal pictures when disassembling a camera. Sadly the technical details and schematics are normally redacted due to a confidentiality request. I have found mistakes where they are still present for an equipment though  :)

The FCC database holds details of unit’s that contain RF emitters (Wi-FI, BT etc) so sadly if an equipment is not capable of containing such technology, you are unlikely to find it in this database.

I also search for the manufacturers Patents on the Google Patent search engine. Patents often detail equipment design and technology notes that are very useful. There is a lot of useful Patent information held on thermal imaging cameras.
