After a long time off wanting one, an F1G2 popped up on OfferUp last night for $130. I was the first to message and got out this morning. This will come in damn useful, I remember there were a couple of apps for it on here. I can't seem to find them now, even with a search. Does anybody have the links?

The best app for F1G2 is this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=georg.com.thermal_camera_plus

For logging and in-app graphing I prefer the Vernier Thermal Analysis (https://www.vernier.com/products/software/thermal-analysis/). Only for iOS though.

Well done.
Look on eBay and buy yourself a ZnSe Close-up lens. That will enable you to get up close to targets, a little like a thermal microscope ! Lots of discussion on these lenses in the E4 threads and my FLIR E4 useful information thread.
I would suggest at least 12mm diameter and a FL of 100mm to start with. Other FL's available are 50mm and 63mm. They will cost you around $15 each from China. Look for "CO2 laser ZnSe lens" and you will find the lenses easily. You just need to knock up a lens holder to hold the lens in front of the F1G2 thermal lens aperture. Blank off the visible light lens when using a close-up lens or switch off MSX in George's app.
Have fun

Thanks for that idea and the details. I'll look around to see if anyone has an already designed adapter! I can see this being very very useful in the future

There is a 3D printed lens holder for the FLIR One G2 detailed somewhere on this forum? I will see if I can find it. IIRC, it was a neat design that just clipped onto the front of the camera and it also deliberately obscured the visible light camera to defeat MSX when using the FLIR App. No need to do this with George'App though.

Ooooops, my memory failed me. The lens holder was made on a lathe and not 3D printed. It does show what is needed though.
