Hi,
I have a Flir Vue on my bench. It powers up, do 2 FFC events and then I just get flickering image. The FLIR logo is fine, so the video signal is fine.
I also have checked the sensor (with a other mainboard from a TAU2) and it is okay.
I also have the FFC event square in the upper right corner appears but it stays on. I have read the thread where Fraser had an similiar problem, but a reset and reset to factory settings didn't help. (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/thermal-imaging/thermal-camera-teardown-the-flir-tau-320-by-fraser/)
So my question is: does any one have a firmware image from a Flir Vue Pro and would share it with me? Is there any information stored in the FPGA or is all stored in the Flash-Memory? The EP4 has also an internal memory, if I read the datasheet correct.

To be clear, There will be 2 boards in Vue, one is a traditional Tau board, another is the Vue add-on board, which one is working and which one is not?

I remember this only suppose to work on fast-frame Tau2 cores.
I tried on two of my Taus, both succeed. But be prepared to recalibrate afterwards.

Thank you for the hint, but the FLIR Camera Controller Software only work with "normal" TAU2 cores. When I connect the core as an "LWIR-MWIR" camera it fails to connect. I have monitored the serial communication and after getting the hardware ID it stops.
When I choose UAS it will connect without a problem, but I have just a few settings and no update function.

did you connect tau through vpc and 40pin connector? if you use usb of vue board flir gui definitely wont work

Of course I habe used the VPC.

This means the Tau in Vue is actually a custom firmware... Bad news.

Hi all. Perhaps this will help. If you connect module B to the old software, it will connect in exactly the same way as Tau-2 and you can install the firmware. We need the old interface.
