Title: FLIR EXX (for example E53) lens removal
Post by: Max Planck on June 18, 2022, 06:41:30 pm
A question as in the topic. Because of the contacts on the lens, is it safe to remove the lens from an operating FLIR E53 (or any other similar EXX camera)?

On a E60 on down the contacts on the lens do not go to anything on the camera I was told they did on the t400 on up series. Does the E56 have contacts on the camera?

Yes, it's safe to remove the lens while it's operating. I had a FLIR distributor rep just remove it while it's on and there's nothing in the manual warning against it afaik.
