Good evening,
I'm new to the forum and getting into thermal imaging. I want to buy a new Flir camera and have been looking at a Exx E74 24. The seller is telling me that he paid $6000 for it. Is this correct? There is one on E-Bay for $1800.00. Is it worth that or will I be overpaying?

I guess, I would like to know if there were any problems with them. It seems like quite a price reduction from 6K to $1800. Could anyone possibly shed some light on this unit? I will use the unit to scan basement walls for moisture and water damming.

Hi Drypro,
I'm not sure I can answer your question, but I am learning too and I'd like to share some thoughts. The E75 is no longer sold by Flir, even as a refurb (as far as I can see) and has been replaced by the E76. I don't know the state of the software compatibility, I am still learning about this too. Does the E75 have much better resolution than some of the lower tier, less expensive cameras? From my reading the resolution is on par with Flir's E8, although I'm not saying they are equivalent in other ways.
I have decided to steer away from the discontinued cameras and have pointed my interest at the "Ex" series from Flir, with the goal of getting a used one there. I am also interested in this discussion, and thanks for asking.
