Flir TK how to open for repair.
Video for those who want to repair a thermal imager but don’t know how to open it. Very often in this model there is a bad electrical contact in the battery connector. The battery itself is losing capacity. After the falls, problems arise with the electric flat cable.

Thanks for sharing  :-+

The Lithium cell surrounded with foam padding is an interesting approach  ;D

The Scout and FLIR One series are designed and built in China by a third party manufacturer. It sometimes shows in the designs and construction used. Not FLIR’s usual fine engineering, that is for sure.

I fixed the problem with the thermal image. There was a problem with a large current consumption in the off state. Maybe someone knows where to look for a breakdown.

I could not find the reason for the large current consumption in the off mode. The owner of the thermal imager said that this problem was from the very beginning after the purchase. I solved the problem by putting a reed switch. A permanently closed reed switch is included in the battery circuit. During long-term storage, the magnet fixed in the slider acts on the reed switch. The power turns off. Reed switch is used so as not to violate the tightness of the thermal imager.

You need to remove the latches. Pull out the battery. Release the USB connector from the glue. Pull out the board.

Thank you very much! I struggled with the alignment of the display sharpness knob to release the board completely.
