From FLIR SEQ to FLIR TIFF / RJPEG
« on: June 25, 2021, 01:16:22 pm »
Hi all,

Serves this first post to introduce myself. I am a drone pilot and usually capture radimetric images/videos. Our cameras (DJI Zenmuse XT and XT2) usually skip frames when using timed shooting. To avoid this, we plan to record SEQ and then extract the needed frames from it.

At the moment, I have been able to split SEQ into FFF images which are correcly interpreted by FLIR Tools and preserve thermal information both in data and header. Nevertheless, I am stuck when trying to get Radiometric TIFFs (exactly the format I would get taking a photo from the drone so I am sure they can be used with processing software) and/or RJPEGs (again, same requirements).

I have tried using FLIRPy which claims to include a script that makes just this (get R-TIFFs from SEQ), but the script is just not in the library code.

Hope someone can shed a bit of light on this.

By the way, I am looking for a programming/scripting approach because I have loads of them to process...

Thanks in advance,
Jose

That is exactly where I came frome. The author told me to ask in this forum as "conversion" was beyond the scope of exiftool...

Thanks

And what about this perl script?: https://github.com/gtatters/ThermimageBash

It's from the same guy that does Thermimage.

I personally don't tried it, because what do you want to do it's doable on ResearchIR and Thermal Studio Suite without scrips.
