Help! For a Flir E60
« on: November 12, 2023, 03:50:17 pm »
Hello everyone,

sorry my english is not very good but can anyone help me with the following.
I have a flir E60 with serial number (49xxxxx) I had software version 2.10.7 that I was trying to update.
but I think something went wrong with the update.
Now it no longer starts. Is there any way to downgrade it?

thank you in advance.
I have to say I'm really disappointed that he doesn't do it anymore

As far as I can remember, there is a serial port in the handle. May be this helps.https://www.eevblog.com/forum/thermal-imaging/unbricking-flir-t620/msg3108032/#msg3108032

Did you try to remove the battery and reboot the camera? Did the firmware upgrade process show and error or halted in the middle?

Hello Wim,
I tried to remove the battery and restart.
I don't know during the update it was under power and was busy, suddenly the screen went black and it was completed it was on flir tools.

When you connect it via USB, is it detected by the PC? If yes, maybe it is still possible to access the file system that way? Was your camera before in RNDIS MODE? If yes, you could try FTP access...

Usually best to put the update on the mem card and it will boot off that and redo the upgrade or down grade your choice

If the camera is really bricked and will not boot and finish when using the mem card then for extreme problems install flir tools, this will give you a flir tools folder and in the bin folder will be a flirinstallNet.exe to use. It will give you the network usb connection to use (usually flir usb works the best) then choose the firmware file that you have downloaded. If the camera is really really bad then only a few files will actually install and the repair will not work the very first try but it will install a few important files and if you run it again you will notice that it is now installing a lot of files. Will take a while like over an hour so make sure you have power cables hooked up and not just battery power. It will reboot and finish a few last files you must do what the screen says. But it will work just don't give up after the first attempt.
