How to replace Fluke VT04 Li-Ion Battery ?
BravoV:
I got a loaner unit from a friend for me to play with, but with one condition that I have to help him to replace the Li-Ion battery in it.
I've search and read all documentations from Fluke, and spent hours at google, still can't find how to open up this unit to replace the battery in it. :-//
Fluke "officially" does sell the rechargeable battery for this VT04, and there is not even single word mentioned in official documents that the owner must send the unit to the authorized service center to replace it, but still there is no instruction how to do it ? Only for VT04A or VT02 which use 4 AA cells which is obvious. :palm:
Anyone ?

Here you go.

My teardown of the VT02 prototype should help you find the case screws. IIRC some are under the side label(s).
These cameras are actually pretty easy to dismantle :)
My VT02 uses alkaline batteries and these are accessed via a cover in the handle. It would be worth checking that the VT04 does not have the same cover, but a rechargeable battery behind it. I say this as the VT02 and VT04 use the same case.

BravoV,
The attached picture shows the VT02 and VT04 battery bays. Both accessed via the same slide off cover. No need to dismantle the camera. The upper camera uses Alkaline cells and the lower camera has the rechargeable battery fitted.

Fraser, thanks, will try once I have the chance. :-+
Its just the cover is quite stiff to slide off, worry it may crack.
I've seen the illustration, but only for the models with AA batteries, never the one with rechargeable like above, where did you get it ?
Will report back the result.
Fraser:
Just a google search for "VT04 battery"
