Looking for a suitable thermal camera. Suggestions?
« on: September 26, 2022, 03:44:58 am »
Hi, I am looking for suggestions for easy-to-handle thermal cameras. The camera should be capable of capturing thermal as well as RGB images of the subject. Also, the user should be able to extract pixel-wise temperature values from the thermal images captured by the camera.

Based on the topic description you mentioned, I would like to recommend the smartphone thermal camera to you.
There are several thermal imaging brands in the market, such as flir, infiray, etc. Every brand has their advantages.
For thermal camera for smartphone, you can plug it into your phone for direct use. Personally, I like this design so much.

@thermalengineer

Thank you for your suggestion. Could you give me an example of just one of such smartphone cameras regarding how to get the pixelwise temperature values from the captured images?
