Any intentions to release elsewhere than the Microsoft store? I think I and a lot of others included despise their platform...

I don't think Google will like it, that you are using their icons for settings and live view

It is a walled garden where Microsoft controls what applications you own or what they will let you install and is bound to an online account. They can't be moved between just any machines by design. The app can be taken down from the store any time.

In contrast to a regular windows executable where you can physically own the install medium. You can install it, run it, backup it...etc without any outside requirements.

I don't have a Microsoft account bound to my instance of Windows 10, i don't need it, nor want it.

I like it in the way that it helps me manage updates and that it is available for quick download and updates directly from the Store front.

As far as i know, Microsoft cannot take down MY app once it has been released on the platform - only i can do that. They can only take down their own software.

If you have a Microsoft Account (I use mine for Mail, Google drive etc..), you can use the software on up to 10 different computers using your account.
To me thats pretty nice.

But nevertheless, i hope you try it out some day :)

I installed the trial version from the microsoft store with no problems, I was hoping the software would support my Uti690B thermal camera which looks identical to the Uti660...
But this is not the case, my camera is not recognized...
Is there any hope that she could be one day?  ::)

If you can come to my discord server, we can discuss it some more.
I would need some information from your part to be able to add support for your camera.

Ok, in which section on the discord server should I post?

I second the fact that microsoft store is not a favourable place to download from.

The microsoft store does not even work here, pressing the button Get in store app does not do anything on Chrome or Firefox. I don't have Infiray camera yet but your software is really good. So to buy it I could pay you paypal, that's it.

Why not use any other online payment way like Paypal with a website of your own domain?
At least sell on Ebid.net store (with their Want zero fees for life?)

Hi All,
I just bought a TOPDON TC001. I have to say I am really happy with this camera. The only problem right know is that the PC software lacks a lot features. I tried to use this IRCAM Thermal Viewer but although TC001 appears in the list of compatibles devices, the SW cannot find a connected camera.
Has anyone ever tried using TC001 with this SW?
BTW, ideally, I would like to control  the TC001 directly from LabView to generate reports by programming. Does anyone have experience doing something similar?

You could try asking Infiray for the SDK that they offer for the Infiray Tiny1 core that resides inside your TC001. You can then directly control the TC001 camera and it’s data output. The difference between the TC001 and a Infiray P2 is the casing and possibly (I forget) the USB PID. The SDK will work with it at the cores ASIC level so should recognise your camera core.

Youll have to uninstal the TOPDON camera drivers to use the software...

I suspect there's a silent group who won't buy this from the microsoft store, so it seems like a good idea to raise awareness just in case there's a possible solution.

The microsoft store giveth, and the microsoft store taketh away just as easily. The price is part of the issue; it's high but that isn't a problem if I could know that I would still be able to run the software in 10 years time from my backup copy rather than being beholden to a cloud service (and there are plenty of examples of how cloud services take away access).

Personally I would: pay $10 from a cloud service and have the risk of only having access for a couple of years, or pay $100 and have offline access for longer.
I know for others it's a matter of principle also.

Thanks for the advice. After removing the drivers, the Sw detected the thermal camera. Unfortunately, I could not do a lot more. Everytime I tried to do something the SW crashed.

Not possible because the Microsoft Store itself does not work on Win 7, so you can't even buy or download it there.

Hi,

I happened to find your IRCAM.  It look very nice but I can't access to the Microsoft Store because my PC is controlled by the company IT, blocking the MS Store.  |O

BTW, I wonder I can IRCAM installed on both my PC and notebook, with one registration ?

Best,

Thanks.

BTW, I just got another thermal cam, VICTOR VC328B.  It is the cheapest (on a promotional day) cam with a high resolution sensor (256x192).

Will IRCAM support it ?  Or is there a way ?
