recommendation: camera that can trigger & acquire thermal images via cmdline

We have a FLIR i5 camera and it's OK but I'd like to get something newer and better.

Any recommendations for a good and reasonably-priced (preferably under US$1000) thermal camera that I can somehow trigger + acquire thermal images from a PC via command-line (or .NET if I must)?

I was looking at the FLIR TG267 and it's got good specs for what I need but doesn't look like it's compatible with one of FLIR's SDKs.
