Hi,
can anybody upload a copy of the Photon GUI? It‘s not longer available on the FLIR website.
Thanks
-
I will have a look in my archives. I believe I have it somewhere !

I have found both of the Photon GUI's in my archives and uploaded them for you to Filedropper
There is a version for pre 2008 cameras and a version for post 2008 models.

Enjoy :)
For information, I believe FLIR will still supply these utilities upon request via their Customer Support. The later TAU GUI also requires a request for the download via Customer Support.

Thank you Fraser. I will download it later, whem I‘m back at home. Do you also have the gain-calibration Software? I dont know if it was free or not.
-
If it is not part of the GUI, then sadly I do not have it. FLIR will likely supply it if asked. It was not a chargeable utility but was usually only supplied with cameras that were sold without a lens fitted.

I just looked at the TAU gain calibration guide and it is clear that the required utility exists within the TAU GUI but needs the installation of a DLL after installing the utility. The required DLL is in the provided GUI file set. It would be worth looking in the Photon GUI file set for similar as the TAU is just a development of the Photon core.

As I suspected, it would appear that FLIR included the a legacy Photon core in the coverage of their more recent Core configuration utility. See the manual here.....
https://www.flir.com/globalassets/imported-assets/document/flir_gui_user_guide.pdf (https://www.flir.com/globalassets/imported-assets/document/flir_gui_user_guide.pdf)
That utility is available free of charge and likely provides the gain calibration feature you desire for the a Photon core.
I will see if I can find the later FLIR core GUI for you as I know that I have it :)
This later GUI utility is likely why the dedicated Photon GUI was removed from the website. It was redundant.

Oh dear, having read the later FLIR GUI manual I see that it does not provide gain calibration for the Photon core. I regret I cannot help on that front. You will need to raise a call with FLIR customer support for a copy of the utility and I should be grateful for a copy if they provide it.

I found some installation guidance for the Photon GUI files that I provided, just in case you decide to use them....
Photon GUI
The Photon Graphical User Interface (GUI) is a PC program that enables remote command and control of Photon functions and features through an RS-232 serial interface to the camera. IMPORTANT: Make sure there is only one version of the GUI installed at a time on your computer. If you intend to upgrade from v1.2 to v2.4, be sure to completely uninstall v1.2 first by using the Add or Remove Programs function of the Control Panel in Windows.
NOTE: If you purchased a Photon camera during or after 2008, you should use the FLIR Camera Controller GUI. The FLIR Camera Controller GUI continues to be updated and supported. The Photon GUI will not be updated beyond v2.4.
Download Photon GUI v2.4.0 (Zip file, 30.1MB) For all Photon cameras delivered beginning in 2008. See NOTE above.
Download Photon GUI v1.2.0 (Zip file, 29.4MB)** For Photon 320 cameras delivered prior to 2008.
**The Photon GUI v1.2 supports software versions 2.0.0.9, 1.0.1.15, 1.0.1.17, 1.01.1.12, 1.0.1.19 and 1.0.1.26. With very few exceptions, these software versions are installed on Photon 320 cameras delivered before 2008.
The Photon GUI v2.4.0 supports Photon 640, as well as all other software versions of Photon 320 and lower resolution Photon cameras. If you are not sure of the software version, download the Photon GUI v2.4.0 and check the about tab for the camera software version. If you have software version 2.0.0.9, 1.0.1.15, 1.0.1.17, 1.01.1.12, 1.0.1.19, or 1.0.1.26 you must uninstall Photon GUI v1.9.0 and then install Photon GUI v1.2.0. If you have any other software version, you have the correct GUI.
We suggest extracting the GUI files into a folder. Then, run the setup.exe file. During the install process you will be prompted to select the features you want to install, and de-select the features you do not want to install.
Unless you are using an Ethernet module, we recommend deselecting the Ethernet install option. You can always re-install the Ethernet option at a later time.

Hello.
You posted old versions of 2008 Photon GUI on the forum. The files are not available for download now "Upload not found, it may have been destroyed".
Could you re-upload these GUIs and send new links?
I contacted FLIR but they can't send the old version. They send me a new version which doesn't work with my old flir photgon 320.

Those are dead links. Would you consider re-uploading them? Preferably to a place that doesn't delete them after a limited time?

Reupload please...

I have decided to not supply thermal imaging core configuration utilities to anyone that I do not know until such time as the current World crisis is resolved. Sorry but on this occasion I cannot assist.

Hello! I spent a lot of time, but I found the GUI program from the official site.
Photon_GUI https://drive.google.com/file/d/18UFFRm0PAhRlRS46WK-VMIt4JwwAkkhz/view?usp=sharing
Photon_GUI_V2.4.0 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1A2VfFuEPb8GgTvCopSkQxEOOW4vZh6Qs/view?usp=sharing
Request to the owners of Flir Photon 640 30 Hz. If you have a flash dump, please send me.

Big thanks for posting this. Also what is the difference between the unversioned "Photon_GUI" and the one with version number 2.4.0? Which is the newer one?

The first one is for old camera revisions. See post above by Fraser.
