TC001 and T2 Pro question
« on: December 05, 2023, 12:37:29 pm »
Hi all, is there much difference between the Topdon TC001 and the Xinfrared T2 pro in terms of sensor, range etc?
I want a fairly basic thermal camera.. either android or standalone but on a budget, max £300. It'll mainly be used for sighting birds in trees at anywhere between 20-300ft or so. I know the T2 pro is okay, and i know the TC001 is comparable resolution with a more accurate temperature reading, but can be bought a lot cheaper. What i dont know about is the sensitivity of the Topdon compared to the T2.
Any clues?

Hello. Because I've also recently been interested in getting a cheap thermal imaging camera. So I did a lot of strategy. I noticed that it seems like the TC001 is more oriented towards temperature measurement and less suitable for outdoor use. And the t2pro seems to be more oriented to use in the field, according to the manufacturer there is some kind of exclusive algorithm or something like that.
Depends if you use it indoors a lot or outdoors.
