Hello, i have a Flir E6 and I'm thinking of adding light to the camera somehow, since sometimes there is little light to illuminate the need for an MSX or camera. How could this be best done?

Duct tape and a torch?

I tried it with an LED flashlight, but where the center of the light is, the MSX cannot see the outline of the measurement site.

Sadly the E4 is not equipped with a tripod mount and its case does not lend itself to attaching something like a torch.
A photography or microscope LED ring light come to mind though. The ring light is LED and battery powered. You just need to attach it to the front of the E4. Elastic bands, rare earth magnets or self adhesive Velcro might work. It is often necessary in such cases to make some form of adapter plate. 3D printing helps with creating such an adapter plate.
Another option is a head mounted torch with a wide field of illumination. You are usually looking at the E4 screen so would naturally be aligned with the scene. Glare from the torch on the screen could be an issue, as could a shadow cast by the E4 in the light beam.
Other alternatives include finding a decent LED torch with variable beam width (sometimes called zoom on torches) and creating a flat base torch mount that attaches on the side of the E4 with self adhesive Velcro fastenings. That self adhesive Velcro uses very strong adhesive ! Helmet mounts for torches are quite common and can be adapted for this task.
Another possibility would be to modify the battery base, as Mike did, to add a tripod screw mount thread. There is space in the plastic Shell to fit a threw thread insert. A torch holder could then be mounted on the tripod mount thread. Bullet action cameras and helmet mounted torches often have a tort home holder option that can be adapted to a tripod thread mounting. The battery mount has the advantage of placing the torch weight below the hand and projecting onto the scene clear of the cameras head.

Just has a look at helmet torches and saw plenty of bicycle torch mounts and torches that are designed to mount on a semi round tube. These use an adjustable strap and bike torches are often both bright and broad beamed :)
One of these strap mounts might fit around the bottom of the E4 handle where it meets the battery ?

I have this adapter https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:302033 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:302033) . I think if there were such smaller lights that could be placed on the sides of the camera, maybe it would be ideal. Just find such tiny lights.

That adapter interferes with the holding of the hand grip though.

Sadly those look inadequate for the task. You really need a lens system and reflector with those chip LED elements. If you look at a good LED torch you will see a single powerful LED that drives a lens structure, that together with a reflector, forms a powerful beam of light.

This looks good, with Velcro. Dimmensions is only 66mm, on top in front of camera is good.
